Get your files press-ready

Before sending your files to Johnson Litho, please check these quick guidelines. We recommend furnishing a high resolution PDF to print your projects, but can accept most file formats.

  • All pages must have at least 1/8 inch (.125 inch) bleed on all sides
  • The document and all linked files should be built in CMYK color mode or with the colors specified on your purchase order
  • All CMYK or grayscale images should have a resolution of at least 300dpi, and all line art should have a resolution of at least 800dpi
  • All pages should be built as individual pages
  • All fonts used must be included with the file or embedded in the file
  • All linked images must be included with the file
  • Non-printing elements such as perforation marks should be built on a separate document for reference only
  • For instructions on including glue flaps or pockets (die cutting), please contact your salesperson or customer service representative
  • Large black areas ( larger than .25 inches across) should be filled with Rich Black. We recommend, 100k, 40c, 30y, 30m
  • Solid black text should be 100k only, not 4 color
